Quality Auditor Shift Technician (BBBH692244) Rugby, England

Salary: GBP57592 - GBP57592 per annum

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Quality Technician to join our manufacturing site in Rugby. This role is critical in ensuring product quality, maintaining analytical equipment, and driving continuous improvement across production processes.

 

Main Purpose of the Role

You will be responsible for maintaining the quality of all products manufactured on site, managing analytical equipment and gauges, and identifying opportunities to improve robustness and simplify processes.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Physical testing of products to ensure compliance with quality standards
  • Maintenance and calibration of analytical equipment and gauges
  • Root cause analysis of manufacturing issues and implementation of corrective actions
  • Investigation and reduction of customer complaints, non-conforming product, and spoilage
  • Spoilage analysis and reporting recommendations to production managers
  • Active participation in Continuous Improvement and 6S activities
  • Running and presenting daily statistical reports for production meetings
  • Supporting proofing of new decorations and reporting non-conforming raw materials
  • Assisting with plate making, organisation, and set-up according to production plans
  • Reviewing work practices to identify areas for quality improvement
  • Conducting internal inspections for food safety, quality, and processes
  • Ensuring compliance with all applicable regulations and auditor requirements
  • Writing SOPs and training documents, and delivering group training sessions
  • Leading workplace inspections and ensuring product traceability through the manufacturing process
  • Maintaining safe working practices in line with legal, safety, and environmental legislation

 

Shift Pattern

  • 4 on 4 off rotation
    • 2 Days: 7am – 7pm
    • 2 Nights: 7pm – 7am
  • 14 days off every 5 shift rotations (holiday allowance included in shift pattern)
  • Plus 6 rota days per year

 

Skills & Experience

    • Strong knowledge of cGMP standards
    • Experience in root cause analysis and CAPA assignment
    • Understanding of Statistical Process Control and data integrity
    • Familiarity with analytical equipment calibration
    • High level of organisational, written, and verbal communication skills
    • Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a Quality role, preferably within manufacturing
    • Experience with risk assessment and COSHH principles

Desirable Attributes:

    • Experience of audit processes
    • Knowledge of HACCP principles
    • Lean Green Belt training
