Summary:
The IT Business Application Manager in this role provides strategic IT services to the business organization, including process compliance, process improvement, application convergence, and continuous communication. The IT Business Application Manager is the bridging instance between the businesses, functions, sales and service geographies, and the IT function. Key tasks are to ensure that the business objectives are supported and enabled by IT (projects and programs), that IT works according to expectations (operational excellence), that the business is satisfied with IT services and solutions, and that the costs are in line with the targets.

 

Key Responsibilities:
  • Engage with stakeholders from the business, region, and function on tactical topics below the management team level.
  • Assist stakeholders in articulating problems, developing business cases, and preparing budget approvals.
  • Evaluate requirements for quality, value, and priority setting.
  • Collaborate with relevant experts across the IT and business community.
  • Work with process owning roles and architects to identify suitable solutions for qualified needs.
  • Manage assigned projects, ensuring quality, timeliness, and adherence to budget. This includes actively contributing to steering committees and promoting business readiness and risk management.
  • Contribute to and manage assigned projects for success, including activities such as fit gap analysis, user acceptance testing (UAT), and aftercare.
  • Track the value created by IT initiatives and communicate achievements.
  • Promote adoption, adherence, and continuous improvement in the execution of provided IT systems. Support business change management and identify key users.
  • Support compliance matters in IT initiatives, such as conducting business and privacy impact assessments and ensuring security.
  • Play an active role in aligning with specific platforms, Centers of Excellence (COEs), and Product and Service Entities (PSEs).


Candidate's Profile
Qualifications & Requirements:

  • Possess relevant experience in a IT solutions.
  • Have practical experience in project management, preferably grounded in a recognized Project Management Methodology.
  • A solid understanding of data analytics, information, and data management technologies would be beneficial.
  • Excellent stakeholder management skills, coupled with strong communication abilities in both Japanese and English.
  • Display strong interpersonal skills and a collaborative team spirit.
  • Exhibit a high level of independence and self-motivation.
  • Proficiency in IT processes, such as DevSecOps and Agile methodologies, is preferred.
