6 x month contract Chef De Partie (1507T) Aberdeen, Scotland

About the Role

We are looking for a passionate and reliable Chef de Partie (CDP) to join our client's kitchen team on a 6-month contract, based in Aberdeen.

Working as part of a busy and professional brigade, you will be responsible for managing your designated section to a consistently high standard, ensuring all dishes are prepared and presented in line with our recipes, specifications and quality standards.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced CDP looking to join a high-performing kitchen team and gain further experience within a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Take responsibility for the day-to-day running of your designated section.
  • Prepare, cook and present dishes to a consistently high standard.
  • Follow recipes, portion controls and presentation specifications.
  • Ensure all mise en place is completed efficiently and on time.
  • Maintain excellent standards of food hygiene, health & safety and cleanliness.
  • Work closely with the Sous Chef, Head Chef and wider kitchen brigade.
  • Support junior members of the kitchen team and provide guidance where required.
  • Ensure food is stored correctly and stock is rotated in accordance with company procedures.
  • Assist with deliveries, stock control and kitchen organisation.
  • Minimise food waste and maintain effective portion control.
  • Maintain a clean, organised and safe working environment throughout service.
  • Work efficiently during busy periods while maintaining attention to detail.
  • Contribute ideas and support the continuous improvement of the kitchen operation.

About You

The successful candidate will ideally have:

  • Previous experience working as a Chef de Partie or in a similar kitchen role.
  • A genuine passion for food and delivering consistently high standards.
  • Good knowledge of professional kitchen practices and food preparation techniques.
  • Strong understanding of food hygiene and HACCP principles.
  • The ability to work effectively under pressure in a busy kitchen.
  • Excellent organisation and time-management skills.
  • A positive attitude and willingness to work as part of a team.
  • Good communication skills.
  • Flexibility to work evenings, weekends and other shifts as required.
  • The ability to maintain high standards throughout busy services.

Qualifications

  • Professional cookery qualification is desirable but not essential.
  • Relevant food safety qualification is desirable.
  • Previous experience within a professional kitchen is essential.
