Business Development Manager (1507B) Scotland
We are seeking an ambitious and commercially driven Business Development Manager to lead growth across Scotland for one of the UK’s largest providers of vehicle safety equipment and compliance solutions. This is a high-impact role focused on expanding market share, developing strategic partnerships, and driving revenue across fleet, transport, construction, utilities, logistics, and public sector sectors.
The successful candidate will be responsible for identifying new business opportunities, managing key accounts, and promoting a market-leading portfolio of vehicle safety products including cameras, telematics, warning systems, sensors, lighting, and compliance solutions.
Key Responsibilities
Business Development & Sales Growth
- Identify, target, and secure new business opportunities across Scotland.
- Develop and execute a regional sales strategy aligned to company growth objectives.
- Generate leads through networking, referrals, tenders, cold outreach, and industry events.
- Convert opportunities into long-term profitable customer relationships.
- Achieve and exceed monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets.
Account Management
- Build strong relationships with existing customers to maximise retention and upsell opportunities.
- Conduct regular account reviews and identify additional product/service needs.
- Manage key regional accounts and ensure exceptional customer satisfaction.
Market & Industry Engagement
- Stay informed on vehicle safety legislation, compliance requirements, and industry trends.
- Represent the business at trade shows, exhibitions, and networking events.
- Monitor competitor activity and provide market intelligence to senior leadership.
Collaboration & Internal Leadership
- Work closely with internal operations, technical, and customer service teams to deliver seamless onboarding and support.
- Provide accurate sales forecasts, pipeline reporting, and CRM updates.
- Support product launches and regional marketing initiatives.

Candidate Profile
Essential Experience
- Proven track record in business development, field sales, or account management.
- Experience selling into transport, fleet, automotive, construction, logistics, or related sectors.
- Strong hunter mentality with ability to win new business.
- Experience managing long sales cycles and multiple stakeholders.
- Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel extensively across Scotland.
