Role: Accounts Senior

An exciting opportunity is available for an Accounts Senior to join a supportive and growing accountancy team. You'll manage a varied portfolio of SME clients, build strong client relationships and take ownership of a broad range of accounts and tax work while continuing to develop your technical and commercial skills.
 
The Role

• Manage a portfolio of existing and new SME clients
• Maintain regular client contact and deliver a proactive service
• Prepare accounts for limited companies, partnerships and sole traders
• Prepare management accounts
• Draft personal and corporation tax computations
• Assist the departmental manager and partner with ad hoc client tasks
• Maintain up-to-date technical knowledge of accounting standards, corporation tax and personal tax
• Communicate with clients and HMRC, both verbally and in writing
• Liaise with colleagues to provide a coordinated service to clients

About You

• Newly or recently qualified accountant with a minimum of 3 years' experience working within an accounting practice
• Competent in the preparation of sole trader and FRS102 Limited Company accounts
• Strong attention to detail and a high degree of accuracy
• Able to manage your own workload and work on your own initiative to meet tight deadlines
• Excellent IT skills with the ability to quickly learn and retain knowledge of new software
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• A clear commitment to delivering first-class service to clients and colleagues
• Commercially minded, organised and adaptable
• A strong team player who can build effective relationships with clients and colleagues
