Receptionist / Showroom Host (Temporary)

Hours: Monday to Friday, 9am to 5pm

We are currently recruiting on behalf of our client for a professional and customer-focused Receptionist / Showroom Host to join their team on a temporary basis.

Our client believes that first impressions count and that outstanding service should begin the moment customers enter the showroom. This role is key in ensuring every visitor receives a warm, friendly and professional welcome.

The Role

As a Receptionist / Showroom Host, you will greet customers both face-to-face and over the phone, delivering exceptional service at every opportunity. From directing customers to the appropriate team member to offering refreshments and ensuring the showroom environment is welcoming, you will play an important part in the day-to-day success of the branch.

Day-to-Day Duties

• Acting as the first point of contact for customers, both in person and via telephone

• Managing a high volume of incoming calls through a busy switchboard

• Handling enquiries effectively and efficiently

• Ensuring the showroom and reception area are tidy, organised and presentable

• Making sure customers are comfortable and well looked after

• Assisting with general administrative duties when required

• Working positively and proactively as part of a team

• Going the extra mile to deliver excellent customer service

Essential Skills & Experience

• Previous experience in a similar customer service or reception role

• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills

• A polite, professional telephone manner and well-presented appearance

• Strong organisational skills with the ability to multitask

• High level of accuracy and attention to detail when handling calls and administrative tasks

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

• Good computer literacy, including knowledge of Microsoft Office

• A genuine passion for delivering exceptional customer service
