Audit Assistant Manager (1309827) Edinburgh, Scotland

We’re currently recruiting on behalf of one of our well-established and growing accountancy firms, who are looking to expand their team with a talented and motivated Audit Assistant Manager! 

Location

  • Full-time role based in Dunfermline or Edinbrugh (Hybrid options) 

Role: Audit Assistant Manager 

  • Manage a varied portfolio of audit clients across technology, healthcare, construction, manufacturing and charity sectors.

  • Lead audits from planning through to completion, managing deadlines, budgets and client expectations.

  • Review junior team members’ work, provide constructive feedback and support their development.

  • Work closely with RIs and Audit Managers to deliver high-quality audit work.

  • Build and maintain strong client relationships, acting as a key point of contact.

  • Assess controls, identify weaknesses and make recommendations to clients.

  • Draft and review audit completion reports.

  • Prepare statutory accounts and corporation tax computations.

  • Take ownership of your workload, ensuring work is completed accurately and on time.

About You:

  • Qualified ACCA, ICAS or equivalent

  • 3–4 years’ experience within audit, including at least 1 year at a supervisory level

  • Previous people management experience

  • A strong work ethic and commitment to delivering a first-class service

  • The ability to work independently and use your own initiative

  • Excellent time management and organisational skills

  • Strong technical knowledge and IT skills

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

  • A proven track record of working successfully as part of a team
