Sales Executive

Location: Aberdeen & Aberdeenshire
Reporting to: Sales Manager
 
About the Company
Our client is an established, independent manufacturer and supplier of specialist chemical solutions, based in Aberdeen. The business supplies customers across the UK and internationally, supporting a range of sectors including industrial, oil & gas, energy, renewables, marine, transport and commercial markets.
 
The Role
We are looking for a Sales Executive to develop sales across Aberdeen and Aberdeenshire. This is a hands-on field sales role focused on winning new business, growing existing accounts and building strong customer relationships. The role will involve regular customer visits, cold calling, and face-to-face selling. 
 
Key Responsibilities

• Develop and grow sales across the allocated territory.
• Win new business through cold calling, prospecting and customer visits.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with existing and prospective customers.
• Identify customer needs and recommend appropriate products and solutions.
• Achieve agreed monthly sales and order targets.
• Manage and develop the allocated customer base and territory.
• Maximise face-to-face selling time through effective planning and customer visits.
• Maintain accurate customer and sales records.
• Report on sales activity, opportunities and performance.
• Attend sales meetings and training as required.
• Maintain strong product and industry knowledge.
• Follow company policies, procedures and standards.

About You
We are looking for a proactive, confident and commercially driven salesperson with:

• Experience in field sales, territory sales or business development.
• A proven ability to win new business and develop existing accounts.
• Confidence making cold calls and approaching new customers.
• Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
• A target-driven and self-motivated approach.
• The ability to work independently and manage their own territory.
• Experience within chemicals, oil & gas, engineering, manufacturing or another technical B2B environment would be advantageous.
