Staff Accountant

Direct Hire Full-Time Role

Pay Rate: $25 - $35 per hour

Location: Sacramento, CA - Onsite Role

Job Summary:

We are seeking a dynamic and motivated Staff Accountant to join our team in Sacramento.  We are in search of individuals who are passionate, diligent, and dedicated to ensuring top-notch client service, both internally and externally.  The primary responsibility is to support the team regarding contract modifications, payments, expense reports, and any other related duties. This position reports to the Controller and Partners.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Create & update documentation.
• Process vendor & subcontractor invoices and employee expense reports accurately and within the assigned timeline.
• Assist Project Managers
• Ensure accurate and timely billing.
• Assist the Controller with payment collection.
• Maintain records regarding costs and project-related expenses.
• Communicate with subcontractors & vendors on billing requirements.
• Liaise with the client to identify and define requirements, scope, and objectives.
• Cooperate and communicate effectively with the team to provide assistance and technical support.
• Other related duties as assigned or needed.

Requirements and Qualifications:

• Associate or Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field 
• 4+ years of experience
• Knowledge of accounting principles and procedures
• Proficient in Microsoft Suite and Adobe
• Ability to appropriately handle sensitive and/or confidential information
• Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills
• Ability to handle multiple project assignments while maintaining flexibility to meet deadlines
• Ability to contribute to team-oriented, multi-disciplined project delivery and problem-solving
• Excellent customer service with individuals at all levels, both internal and external
• Strong communication skills (verbal and written)
