Admin Officer
Location: Suffolk, IP33 1TR
Working Days / Hours: 37 hours Monday - Friday
Working Pattern: 9:00am - 5:00pm
Pay Rate: £12.86 per hour

You’ll play a vital role in keeping cases moving, providing excellent customer service, and helping the office run smoothly.
What you’ll be doing:
• Prepare papers, files and documents for court, tribunals, hearings and meetings
• Produce standard letters and correspondence, minutes, notes, reports and submissions in line with guidance
• Maintain and update records on in-house systems, including data input and post opening/dispatch
• Support court listings and rota management by checking files and ensuring materials are up to date
• Provide face-to-face, written and telephone support to court users, including handling enquiries at the counter
• Assist with scheduling and supporting meeting rooms and training/group activities (agendas, joining instructions and handouts)
• Clerking civil and family matters and supporting hearings by ensuring the right papers are ready
• Verify and check documents, records, accounts, claims and returns to quality standards, with accuracy and attention to detail
• Contribute to continuous improvement by using discretion within systems and processes and helping problem-solve as part of the team
What you’ll bring:
• Strong administrative capability with a confident, organised approach to workload and priorities
• Excellent customer service skills, with the confidence to communicate clearly and professionally with a wide range of people
• Good IT skills and comfort working with in-house systems to input, update and check information accurately
• A methodical mindset-able to verify details, work to quality standards and support throughput and accuracy
• The ability to follow guidance and escalate complex or difficult matters to a team leader or supervisor
Additional information:
Some flexibility may be required to work at other local offices on an ad hoc basis within the area
If you're successful in your application a BASIC DBS will be required as part of the on-boarding checks with Brook Street.
