Location: Greater London, SE1 1JD.
Working Days / Hours: 37 hours Monday - Friday
Working Pattern: 9am - 5pm
Pay Rate: £13.36 per hour

Our Client is hiring for administrative support within the Probation Service-helping teams stay on track, cases stay organised, and people receive the right support through efficient processes and clear records.
What you'll be doing:
• Set up and maintain accurate people on probation and victim information on approved databases
• Support referrals and connections between offender management, victims, interventions, service providers and external agencies to improve outcomes, manage risk and reduce reoffending
• Prepare, maintain and collate case records, files and management information to required standards
• Receive and distribute information and communications via telephone, paper and email
• Provide cover for reception and telephone enquiry service
• Act as a single point of contact within the unit for specialist areas as required
• Make practical arrangements for the implementation of the Sentence Plan (appointments, directions etc.)
• Support enforcement administration where required, keeping appropriate records
• Organise availability of equipment, materials and facilities for case-related activities
• Report faulty equipment/materials and arrange replacement/repair where agreed
• Support meetings by organising agendas and distributing notes/minutes and action points
• Carry out safeguarding children duties in line with statutory responsibilities and agency policies
• Work in line with Health and Safety policies, undertake equipment tests as required, and contribute to pro-social modelling
What you'll bring:

• Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the confidence to deal fairly and firmly with a range of people (including those in crisis or exhibiting aggressive behaviour)
• Ability to work on own initiative, while supporting a quality service through continuous improvement
• Good keyboard and IT skills, with proficiency in MS Office Word and basic skills in Excel
• Confidence using databases and maintaining accurate information within required timescales
• A proactive, dependable approach-delivering at pace and making effective decisions

All candidates are subject to security and identity checks prior to taking up post, and external candidates will complete 6 month's probation (internal candidates will be subject to probation if they have not already served one within HMPPS).
