Hours: 37.5 hours per week (5 days out of 7 on a rotating weekly schedule)
Shift Availability: Candidates must be fully flexible to work across both shift windows: 07:00–15:00 and 13:00–21:00

About the Role
The Best Connection is currently seeking energetic, hard-working Kitchen Porter to join the catering department at a prestigious Private Healthcare Provider in South West London.
You will play a vital role behind the scenes, ensuring the hospital's central culinary facilities operate smoothly, maintain maximum cleanliness, and support chefs and ward service teams in delivering premium meals to patients and staff.
Key Responsibilities of Kitchen Porter
- Operating commercial dishwashers and pot-washing stations to clean crockery, cutlery, cooking pots, and pans.
- Ensuring all kitchen equipment, food preparation counters, and storage areas are kept spotlessly clean and sanitized.
- Receiving, unpacking, and safely storing incoming food stock, dry goods, and kitchen supplies in correct storage areas.
- Safely disposing of kitchen waste, food waste, and recycling following strict hospital hygiene regulations.
- Assisting kitchen staff with light prep work and the movement of food transport trolleys as required.
- Adhering strictly to COSHH, Health & Safety, and Food Hygiene standard operating procedures.
Requirements
- Shift Flexibility: Must be fully available and flexible to work 5 days out of 7 across both shift windows (07:00–15:00 and 13:00–21:00).
- Experience: Prior kitchen portering, commercial cleaning, or kitchen assistant experience preferred.
- Work Ethic: Physically fit, energetic, proactive, and capable of working in a fast-paced environment.
- DBS Check: An Enhanced DBS check will be required for this placement (assistance provided).
- Reliability: Excellent punctuality, strong teamwork skills, and high attention to hygiene standards.
