Class 1 Night Driver Wanted – Consistent Work & Temp-to-Perm Opportunity

Location: Robertsbridge, East Sussex | Shift Pattern: Night Shift (5:00pm – 5:00am)

Job Summary

We are looking for a reliable and professional Class 1 (Category C+E) Night Driver to support our client based in Robertsbridge. This role involves completing scheduled night-time deliveries and collections, ensuring goods are transported safely, efficiently, and on time.

This is an excellent opportunity for both experienced and newly qualified Class 1 drivers seeking long-term, stable employment with the potential to secure a permanent position following a successful temporary period.

Main Duties & Responsibilities

• Complete scheduled night-time deliveries and collections.
• Safely transport goods between depots, distribution centres, and customer locations.
• Carry out daily vehicle checks and report any defects promptly.
• Ensure all deliveries and collections are completed accurately and on time.
• Complete all relevant paperwork and digital records correctly.
• Ensure loads are secured correctly before commencing each journey.
• Maintain compliance with Driver Hours Regulations, Working Time Directive, and company policies.
• Provide a professional and courteous service at all delivery and collection points.
• Follow all health and safety procedures.
• Maintain the cleanliness and security of the vehicle.

Please be aware that your role may not be limited to these tasks.

Requirements

• Valid Class 1 (Category C+E) Driving Licence.
• Valid CPC Qualification Card.
• Valid Digital Tachograph Card.
• Newly qualified Class 1 drivers are welcome to apply.
• Comfortable working night shifts.
• Good knowledge of Drivers' Hours and Working Time Regulations.
• Reliable, punctual, and safety-conscious.
• Good communication skills.
• Right to work in the UK.
