Finance Business Advice Consultant (Balance Sheet Management)

We are looking for a consultant focusing on Balance Sheet Management to strengthen our client's team. The Finance Business Advice department is a management accounting team with a strong focus on advice. They act as the financial conscience and business partner for all departments within the domestic bank.

Responsibilities:

• Provide financial result presentations, analyses, and advice to relevant stakeholders.
• Ensure high-quality, first-time-right deliverables.
• Develop relationships with business partners and act as a trusted advisor with strategic analysis on balance sheet and risk-related developments.
• Proactively improve processes, forecasting, and reporting.
• Involved in the overall budgeting and forecasting process, providing accurate forward-looking financial plans on liquidity (e.g., LCR reporting) and RWAs.
• Challenge and align with business controllers and stakeholders on forecasted and actual financial developments (e.g., replication income, risk costs, RWA).
• Analyze actuals and derive action points.
• Participate in overarching projects covering the full bank and seek efficiencies in processes to improve business-relevant insights.

How to Succeed:

• Current residency in the Netherlands.
• Financial master’s degree.
• 5+ years of experience in Treasury, Market Risk Management, Balance Sheet Management, or Fund Transfer Pricing/Replicating Portfolios.
• Experience in a financial advice position within a bank.
• A sincere interest in banking and a curious attitude towards market developments.
• Proven ability to translate complex data into sound advice and provide independent strategic advice to senior management.
• Understanding of Balance Sheet dynamics of financial institutions.
