About the Role
An international organization in the aviation logistics sector is looking for a Global Project Manager to support global programs and IT products within airline operations. The role focuses on improving processes, tools, and digital applications that enable safe, high‑quality, and cost‑efficient operational performance across aviation teams.
You will manage business‑critical projects, enhance operational systems, and collaborate with multiple international stakeholders to standardize and optimize aviation technologies and workflows.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver business‑process and software projects improving operational tools, infrastructure, service quality, efficiency, and safety‑critical systems.
- Define, document, and maintain project scope.
- Plan and execute projects and workstreams according to timelines, budgets, and specifications.
- Collaborate with functional analysts and IT teams to design systems and future‑state business processes.
- Address project issues related to aircraft operations, regulatory requirements, and operational workflows.
- Identify, monitor, and mitigate risks and issues.
- Ensure adherence to architecture and quality standards in collaboration with IT partners.
- Oversee end‑to‑end application usage to ensure alignment with enterprise architecture and aviation IT standards.
- Conduct quality control on internal and vendor deliverables (functional, integration, E2E, boundary, UAT testing).
- Ensure delivery of business‑case benefits and KPIs.
- Manage schedule, costs, quality, risks, issues, and scope within the established governance framework.
- Prepare and present status reports for sponsors and senior management.
- Own deliverables that feed into multi‑year aviation programs.
Your Profile
- Minimum 5 years of IT Project Management experience with proven delivery of agile development projects and build/buy IT solutions.
- Certifications such as PMI, Prince2, IREB, and ISTQB/ISEB are strong assets.
- Degree in Business, Engineering, Transportation, IT, or Project Management.
- Solid understanding of transportation or aviation operations (maintenance, crew, ticketing, scheduling, regulatory frameworks).
- Broad IT and systems knowledge relevant to transport and aviation.
- Fluent in English (written and spoken).
- Proactive, flexible team player with a hands‑on mindset.
- Excellent communication, presentation, stakeholder management, negotiation, and influencing skills.
- Diplomatic, culturally aware, customer‑oriented, and solution‑driven.
