Warehouse Operative

Location: Thame, Oxfordshire
Salary:

• £28000 to £30000 per annum

Job Type: Permanent, Full-Time
Hours: Monday–Friday, rotating shifts

• Week 1: 6:00am–2:00pm
• Week 2: Monday–Thursday, 2:00pm–midnight

The Role

A busy and well-established warehouse operation in Thame is looking for an experienced Warehouse Operative to join the team on a permanent basis.

The role will involve a mixture of forklift operation, picking and general warehouse duties, ensuring goods are moved, stored and prepared safely and efficiently.

Key Responsibilities

• Safely operate counterbalance forklifts
• Load and unload deliveries
• Move, stack and store goods safely and accurately
• Pick and prepare orders for production
• Complete daily forklift checks and report any faults
• Keep the warehouse clean, tidy and organised
• Follow all health & safety procedures
• Support with general warehouse duties as required

About You

The successful candidate must have previous counterbalance forklift experience and be confident operating a forklift within a busy warehouse environment.

You will also need:

• A valid counterbalance forklift licence (this is essential)
• Previous warehouse experience
• Good attention to detail and accuracy
• A reliable and hardworking approach
• The ability to work both independently and as part of a team
• Good timekeeping
• The ability to carry out some manual handling

Experience using warehouse management systems or working within a fast-paced warehouse environment would be beneficial but is not essential.
