Contract - Solution Architect (Banking) - London/Hybrid – 6 months
Gibbs Hybrid require an experienced and dynamic Solution Architect (Banking) to take a leading role in delivery of solution designs and ensures the co-ordination and delivery of effective information, interpretation and guidance, enabling all areas to assess the downstream implications linked to their decisions
The Solution Architect will own and drive the end-to-end solution definition / design for large / complex / cross platform projects, ensuring the integrity of the solution and providing a point of contact and ownership for the lifespan of the project. Working closely with all other technical areas (architecture, CISO, infrastructure, cloud, platform and engineering delivery function, test and release management), the Solution Architect will ensure the solution vision persists through the initiation, design and delivery stages through testing and on to implementation ensuring business requirements are successfully delivered.
A core member of the Project team who will work closely with the project team to ensure the correct resources are aligned and engaged as well as ensuring that technical issues are raised at the appropriate time and with the right level of importance and urgency.
• Builds and develops the culture of the CIO function as a key member of the Architecture Team and supports the development of the CIO culture.
• Ability to cope in a technically complex and fast-changing environment.
• Ability to manage several work streams simultaneously whilst balancing business priorities and quality.
• Ability to think strategically and evaluate options in the short, medium and long term.
• Excellent communication skills with a capacity to present, discuss and explain issues coherently and logically both in writing and verbally.
• Ability to succinctly disseminate important messages to an executive audience.
• Excellent influencing and persuasion skills with the ability to enthuse and inspire multidisciplinary teams and build successful relationships at all levels.
• Clear decision-making ability with the facility to judge complex situations and assess when to escalate issues.
• Ability to balance conflicting and changing demands through prioritisation and a pragmatic approach.
• Self-motivated, able to work on own initiative and able to work collaboratively and constructively within project and discipline teams.
• Demonstrate business leadership skills and the ability to communicate a clear vision to others.
