About The Role:
Unidex Healthcare are seeking experienced Disability Support Workers to support an 18-year-old female participant based in Casino, NSW. The participant has sustained a spinal cord injury resulting in reduced lower limb mobility and some upper limb limitations. She is a vibrant, energetic, and spiritual young woman, and this role would suit someone who can provide compassionate, person-centred support while fostering independence and positive engagement in daily life.

Shift Details:

Monday - Sunday - 1000 - 1500 & 1800 - 2200

Pay Rates:

• Day - $40.00 per hour
• Afternoon - $44.00 per hour
• Saturday - $56.00 per hour
• Sunday - $72.00 per hour
• In-active overnight shift allowance - $145.49 fixed rate

Staff are paid a mileage incentive of $0.73c per km (minus the first 10km) when travelling to and from shift. 

Key Responsibilities:

• Support with personal care and daily living activities, including supervision and prompting
• Assistance with bowel therapy (administering enema and digital stimulation)
• Medication prompting  
• Hoisting/transfers
• Daily skin check
• Assistance with domestic tasks such as cleaning, laundry, and meal preparation
• Support with community access and rehab appointments 

Skills & Experiences:

• Certificate III in Individual Support or relevant 
• Current First Aid & CPR Certificate
• Current Police Check – within the last 12 months
• NDIS - Worker Orientation Module or willing to complete 
• NDIS - Supporting Effective Communication Module or willing to complete
• NDIS Worker Screening Check
• Working with Children Check (Paid)
• Full Australian working rights
• Australian Driver's License and access to a reliable vehicle
• Positive attitude, reliable, and flexible
