About the Role

We are currently seeking an experienced High Reach Forklift Operator to join a busy distribution centre based in Hornsby. This role requires a reliable, safety-focused operator who can handle high-reach tasks efficiently and contribute to smooth warehouse operations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Safely and efficiently operate high-reach forklifts to move, stack, and retrieve pallets within racking systems.
  • Load and unload goods from trucks, trailers, or containers, ensuring accurate placement and stacking.
  • Pick and stage products accurately based on order sheets, production schedules, or dispatch requirements.
  • Perform pre- and post-shift equipment checks, reporting any faults or safety concerns immediately.
  • Maintain a clean, organised warehouse: accurate inventory, clear aisles, and strong adherence to housekeeping standards.
  • Follow all health & safety policies, company procedures, and regulatory requirements.
  • Collaborate with dispatch, logistics, and warehouse teams to ensure smooth operations and high customer satisfaction.
  • Support cycle counts, stock rotation, and replenishment tasks as required.
  • Flexibility to assist with overtime, weekend loads, or special dispatch runs when needed.

Requirements

  • Valid Australian forklift licence and proven experience operating high-reach forklifts in a warehouse/distribution environment.
  • Previous experience in a fast-paced logistics or warehouse setting.
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy when picking, stacking, and storing stock.
  • Physically fit and able to perform manual handling duties.
  • Experience using RF scanners or warehouse management systems.
  • Reliable, safety-conscious, and able to work both independently and as part of a team.
  • Must have own reliable transport.

Preferred

  • Previous experience in cosmetics, beauty, or FMCG distribution centres.
  • Versatility across high-reach and counterbalance forklift operations.
  • Experience in temperature-controlled environments.
  • Understanding of handling fragile or high-value goods.
  • Knowledge of warehouse safety standards (OH&S) and racking systems.
