About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and safety-focused Forklift Operator to join our warehouse and distribution team. The successful candidate will be responsible for the safe movement of steel products, strut channel systems, fittings, and construction materials in a fast-paced manufacturing and warehouse environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Operating high reach and counterbalance forklifts safely and efficiently.
• Loading and unloading trucks and containers.
• Transporting steel products, fittings, and accessories throughout the warehouse.
• Picking, packing, and preparing customer orders for dispatch.
• Staging materials for production and distribution.
• Conducting stock movements, replenishments, and inventory checks.
• Using RF scanners and warehouse management systems where required.
• Ensuring products are stored correctly and securely to prevent damage.
• Completing pre-start forklift safety checks and reporting defects.
• Assisting with general warehouse duties and housekeeping.
• Following all workplace health and safety procedures and site rules.

Skills and Experience

• Current LF Forklift Licence.
• Previous experience operating counterbalance and high reach forklifts.
• Experience handling long, bulky, or heavy materials such as steel or construction products is highly regarded.
• Ability to load and unload trucks safely and efficiently.
• Experience with RF scanning and inventory systems preferred.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety.
• Physically fit and capable of manual handling duties when required.
• Reliable transport and availability for ongoing work.
