Rate: $36        Shift times: 6am - 2pm

Key Responsibilities

• Safely and efficiently operate high-reach forklifts to move, stack, retrieve and relocate pallets and merchandise within racking systems.

• Load and unload goods from trucks, trailers or containers, ensuring correct location and stacking in line with inventory/storage plans.

• Pick and stage products accurately according to order sheets, production schedules or dispatch requirements.

• Conduct pre-shift and post-shift equipment inspections, report any malfunctions or safety hazards promptly.

• Maintain the warehouse environment: accurate inventory records, clear aisles, proper storage, adherence to housekeeping standards.

• Follow all health & safety policies, company procedures and regulatory requirements.

• Work closely with the warehouse team, dispatch, shipping/receiving and logistics functions to ensure seamless operations and high levels of customer satisfaction.

• Assist with cycle counts, stock-replenishment, stock rotation and other inventory control tasks as needed.

• Flexibility to support shift work, overtime, weekend loads or special dispatch runs if required.

Requirements 

• Valid Australian forklift licence and demonstrable experience operating high-reach forklifts in a warehouse/distribution centre environment.

• Prior experience working with high-reach equipment in a busy warehouse or logistics setting.

• Strong attention to detail and accuracy, especially when picking, stacking or storing merchandise 

• Physically fit and able to undertake manual handling: lifting/carrying goods  and working in a fast-paced environment.

• Comfortable working with warehouse management systems or RF scanners, and accurate in data entry or inventory recording.

• Good communication skills, reliability, strong safety focus, ability to work independently and within a team.

• Own reliable transport

Preferred 

• Previous experience in a cosmetics, beauty-products or FMCG distribution centre.

• Experience with “high-reach” plus “counterbalance” forklift operations (versatility across equipment).

• Experience working in temperature-controlled environments .

• Awareness of stock-handling for delicate or high-value goods (cosmetic pallets, fragile items, correct stacking/storage to avoid damage).

• Basic understanding of warehouse safety standards (OH&S), housekeeping, pallet racking systems and efficient storage practices.
