My client is a national consultancy firm based in Sydney’s CBD. They have offices in Sydney and Melbourne. Their areas of expertise include strategic planning, service model development, program monitoring, health economics, benchmarking, and policy analysis.

 

About the opportunity

The Health Economist/Senior Health Economist will report to the HTA Manager, and through to the Directors and owners in respect of service delivery and business development activities she/he undertakes within the HTA practice of the firm. This is a permanent office-based role offering a very attractive remuneration package. The Sydney team consists of 12 professionals while the HTA team consists of 4.   

 

Duties

- Preparation and evaluation of predominately MSAC submissions but also including PBAC
- Develop project plans and execute those plans using best practice project management and monitoring, and the project governance processes agreed with the client
- Provide guidance, mentor and upskill the Analysts and Senior Research Analysts working in the HTA team, providing them with access to technical expertise and motivation to undertake tasks as effectively and efficiently as possible

 

Skills and Experience

  • Experience with the HTA
  • Extensive PBAC & MSAC submissions
  • Ideally project management experience
  • Previous experience in a consultancy firm is ideal but not essential
  • Excellent organisational skills
  • Strong communication skills
