As a Risk Reporting Specialist you are the driver in continuous improving the risk reporting process and simultaneously contributing to key management reports. In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for overseeing the bank’s risk reporting framework and driving the development and integration of artificial intelligence solutions to enhance risk management processes.
Responsibilities Risk Reporting Specialist
• Design, implement, and continuously improve the risk reporting framework to ensure comprehensive, timely, and accurate delivery of risk insights for senior management, regulatory authorities, and key stakeholders.
• Develop automated risk reporting processes by utilising dashboarding solutions such as Power BI, while maintaining and updating the Key Risk Indicator database to support effective decision-making.
• Lead the development and deployment of artificial intelligence and advanced analytics tools including Power BI and Macro to identify emerging risks, enhance predictive modelling accuracy, and automate risk monitoring activities.
• Ensure all risk reporting activities are fully aligned with applicable regulatory requirements such as COREP, FINREP, BCBS 239, and RDARR to maintain compliance standards.
• Mentor and manage a multidisciplinary team comprising risk analysts, data analysts, and developers to foster innovation, excellence, and communal growth within the risk management function.
• Collaborate closely with stakeholders across risk, compliance, finance, IT, and business units to ensure that risk reporting aligns seamlessly with the organisation’s strategic objectives.
• Oversee initiatives related to data quality, integrity, and security for all risk-related data sources and applications used within the department.
• Monitor Key Risk Indicators (KRIs) and trends in the organisation’s risk profile while suggesting technological advancements that promote best practices in risk reporting.
• Maintain clear oversight of planning activities within the risk reporting process by managing dependencies with Finance and Risk stakeholders effectively.
• Ensure providers of risk reporting data adhere strictly to the three lines of defence model while identifying areas for process improvement across teams.
• Take responsibility for developing and executing the annual reporting plan for the Risk Department.
Profile Risk Reporting Specialist
• Completed Bachelor’s degree in Management, Finance, Data or a related field.
• Working experience of 5-8 years, with demonstrable risk reporting experience in financial institutions.
• Excellent dashboarding, writing and presentation skills
• Analytical and problem-solving skills
• Project management expertise
• Driving transformation and change with innovation
• Strong focus on Stakeholder management and fostering relationships
• Knowledge of Business Intelligence tooling (i.e. Power BI/Tableau).
• Strong communication skills at all levels of the organization.
• Ability to quickly understand, analyze, and explain complex data.
• Proactive, structured and accurate working style.
• Full professional proficiency in English, both spoken and written. Knowledge of Dutch is an advantage.
