Warehouse Operative / FLT Drivers Required!

 

The Best Connection are working in partnership with a leading logistics company to find experienced Warehouse Operatives / FLT Drivers based at Derby.

 

Shift: Monday to Thursday 08:30-17:00, Friday 08:30-16:30

 

Pay: £13.50 p/h

 

Location: Derby, DE21 4AY

 

Duration: Temp to Perm!

 

Requirements of a Warehouse Operative / FLT Driver:

  • Have a valid Counterbalance FLT Licence
  • Have a valid Reach Truck Licence
  • Have previous warehouse experience
  • Have experience operating forklifts in a busy warehouse environment
  • Have good computer skills and be confident using email and warehouse systems
  • Have good communication skills, with the ability to deal with suppliers and customers by phone and email
  • Have excellent attention to detail and a reliable, organised approach
  • Have a strong understanding of warehouse health and safety

Role of a Warehouse Operative / FLT Driver:

  • Picking and packing customer orders accurately and efficiently
  • Goods in and goods out operations
  • Operating Counterbalance and Reach forklifts
  • Carrying out quality control checks on incoming and outgoing stock
  • Safely loading and unloading vehicles
  • Moving stock and maintaining general warehouse organisation
  • Completing warehouse paperwork accurately
  • Booking in deliveries and collections
  • Assisting with delivery documentation and dispatch notes
  • Assisting with stock counts and maintaining inventory accuracy
  • Maintaining high standards of warehouse housekeeping and safety
  • Supporting day-to-day warehouse administration and operations as required
  • Communicating with suppliers and customers via telephone and email
  • Supporting warehouse compliance processes and maintaining high operational standards
