JOB TITLE: Head of Commercial Marketing

REPORTING TO: Group Marketing Director

LOCATION: London Head office (hybrid) plus travel to other venues as required

 

The Role

 

Strategically planning and delivering marketing and business development support to Business Unit Directors (Venue and Interactive), ensuring they reach their revenue targets, in line with Metropolitan Gaming’s overall business strategy

 

Main Responsibilities

 

  • Define, build and manage effective marketing initiatives that align with the needs of the Business Unit Directors.
  • Establish a data-driven approach within marketing, defining the metrics the business should care about and feedback associated market/customer insights
  • Constantly review existing processes for campaigns and Business Unit Marketing to deliver an error-free flow of the campaign calendar
  • Develop and deliver short and long-term marketing strategies and tactical executions, in partnership with Venue leadership to achieve wider business goals, aligned to individual local strategies
  • Maximise the joint marketing funds with key suppliers by implementing an annual calendar of activity to drive footfall and sales
  • Oversee the management and development of the Kaleidovision in casino visual content system, ensuring messaging is relevant and engaging.
  • Establish a new way of planning and delivering local and localised brand campaigns across all communication channels
  • Lead, develop and motivate Local Marketing Manager (solid line) and marketing staff based in venues (dotted line)
  • Provide team with strong mentoring and clear leadership which both motivates and inspires a culture of high achievement, while nurturing key members of the team to ensure long term retention of talented individuals
  • Work with CRM Manager to create an ongoing set of testing such that Metropolitan becomes a learning organization in marketing with continuous improvement.
  • Set team objectives and manage performance against set goals.
  • Align marketing planning with business goals and the long-term vision of the wider business unit
  • Forecasting, budgeting & reporting processes to meet KPI’s & targets
  • Partner with BI FP&A to ensure an extensive suite of reporting, analyse results and utilize to improve future performance

 

REQUIRED SKILLS AND BEHAVIOURS:

 

  • A degree in marketing, business administration or related field
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in the digital marketing area, ideally within casino, online gaming or luxury hotel group
  • Previous experience in the Gaming industry
  • Strong management and motivational abilities with extensive experience in leading and developing marketing teams
  • Strategic development and marketing planning orientation
  • Strong team player with excellent and proven inter-personnel skills
  • Outstanding project/time management and communication (verbal and written) skills are a must
  • The ability to envision the implementation and measurement of strategy effectiveness
  • Good understanding of marketing platforms and technologies
  • High attention to detail and administration
