Our client is a global leader in concrete counterweight manufacturing and solutions, seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Financial Accountant to join their growing team. This role is critical in ensuring the accuracy, compliance, and efficiency of financial processes while supporting operational excellence across the organisation. The ideal candidate will have a strong accounting background, hands-on experience in the manufacturing industry, and proficiency in both Slovenian and professional English.

Responsibilities: 

• Maintain the general ledger, ensuring all transactions are recorded accurately and timely.
• Perform weekly, monthly, and annual reconciliations of accounts to ensure financial integrity.
• Manage month-end and year-end closing processes.
• Oversee the full cycle of invoice processing.
• Monitor and manage accounts receivable collections.
• Handle inter-company postings and recharges.
• Prepare and present accurate financial statements to HQ.
• Manage and ensure accurate filing of DDV (VAT) returns and corporate tax submissions.
• Serve as the primary contact for internal and external auditors.
• Develop expertise in cost accounting.

Candidate Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance.
• Professional certifications such as ACCA, CPA, CMA or equivalent are highly desirable.
• At least 5 years of experience in accounting with a focus on the manufacturing industry.
• Strong background in auditing, financial reporting, and treasury management.
• Proven experience with QuickBooks, SAOP ERP or similar financial systems.
• Comprehensive knowledge of local accounting standards and tax regulations.
• Proficiency in cost accounting and manufacturing-related financial management.
• Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel and other financial analysis tools.
