Morgan Hunt are working with a UK wide consultancy to recruit a Senior Civil Infrastructure Engineer for their Glasgow office. This position is ideal for an experienced engineer with a background in consultancy who enjoys delivering infrastructure solutions across a broad portfolio of development projects for both public and private sector clients.

 

Key Responsibilities:


  • Lead the design and delivery of multiple civil engineering projects, ensuring work is completed to programme and technical standards.
  • Build and maintain positive relationships with clients, architects, contractors and other project stakeholders, acting as a professional representative of the business.
  • Review and approve engineering calculations, drawings, specifications and technical reports to ensure accuracy and compliance with internal quality procedures.
  • Coordinate multidisciplinary design teams and communicate effectively with both internal colleagues and external partners.
  • Produce infrastructure designs for highways, drainage and site development schemes across residential, commercial, industrial and mixed-use developments.
  • Apply current UK design standards and best practice when preparing engineering solutions.
  • Use industry-standard software, including AutoCAD, Civil 3D and drainage design packages, to develop detailed engineering designs.
  • Attend construction sites to inspect progress, monitor compliance with design requirements and resolve technical issues alongside contractors and project teams.
  • Prepare or contribute to supporting documents for planning submissions, including drainage strategies, flood risk assessments and other technical reports.
  • Demonstrate familiarity with Scottish drainage and sewer adoption requirements, including relevant agreements and approval processes.
  • Manage competing priorities while maintaining high-quality technical output and meeting project deadlines.
  • Support the continued growth of the business by developing client relationships and participating in industry networking opportunities.



Requirements:

  • Degree qualified in a relevant field
  • Chartered or working towards chartership
  • Strong experience in project management
  • Full clean UK driving license
  • Experience mentoring and guiding junior engineers
