Introduction

Acorn by Synergie is recruiting an experienced Material Handler Operator to join a client’s busy scrap metal operation in Scunthorpe.

This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled operator with experience in scrap metal or recycling environments to secure ongoing work with a reputable employer. An immediate start is available.

What We Offer

Key Duties

• Operate material handling machinery, such as Sennebogen, Fuchs or Liebherr machines.

• Safely move, sort and process scrap metal and recycling materials.

• Carry out daily checks and basic maintenance on machinery.

• Work as part of a team to meet site productivity targets.

• Follow site safety procedures and maintain safe working practices.

Requirements

• Valid NPORS or CPCS qualification for wheeled 360 excavator operation.

• Proven experience operating material handlers in a recycling or scrap metal environment.

• Ability to work safely and follow site procedures.

• Reliable and punctual, with the ability to work Saturdays.

Shift Pattern

• Hours: 6am–6pm, 12 hours per day.

• Days: Monday–Saturday.

• You can work six days per week or take one weekday off while working every Saturday.
