MS Fabric Architect - Remote - 6 months (CR/4056286) Budapest, Hungary
MS Fabric Architect
We’re supporting a large, complex enterprise in the energy / industrial sector that is scaling its Microsoft Fabric landscape and looking for a highly technical Fabric Architect to help shape the future data platform.
This is a role for someone who is deeply hands‑on, confident in architectural forums, and comfortable influencing direction in an environment where enterprise architecture and governance are still evolving.
What you’ll be doing
- Acting as a Fabric authority, able to represent and defend architectural decisions in senior technical and enterprise architecture discussions
- Helping define and push a clear Fabric vision and agenda in a decentralised data landscape with limited central governance
- Working closely with an existing strong technical colleague, mentoring and elevating their Fabric capabilities
- Assessing the current data platform, tooling, and practices to shape next‑step architecture and operating models
- Engaging in vendor and technology discussions, evaluating best practices and fit within a large enterprise environment
- Partnering with stakeholders across data, analytics, and architecture during an early assessment phase, with delivery running through the end of the year
What we’re looking for
- Proven, hands‑on experience with Microsoft Fabric (not just conceptual or advisory)
- Strong architectural mindset — someone who can be confidently placed into any technical or architectural forum
- Experience operating in large, complex, politically nuanced enterprise environments
- Background in modern data platforms; Databricks and/or Snowflake experience is a strong plus
- Comfortable balancing strategy, architecture, and practical implementation
- Confident communicator who can influence without formal authority
