GI Group is recruiting on behalf of our client, a well-established organisation within the disability support sector, for Social Care Assistants to join their team in Kilkenny.
Our client provides residential and day services for adults with physical and intellectual disabilities and autism, supporting individuals to live fulfilling, independent lives within their communities.

As a Social Care Assistant, you will become part of a dedicated and supportive team, with opportunities for ongoing learning, career development, and progression within a respected organisation.

What You Will Need

  • Hold a minimum QQI Level 5 Major Award on the QQI Framework, BA in Social Care Studies, or an equivalent qualification in Community, Health or Social Care.
  • Have at least 1 year's experience working with vulnerable adults or adults with intellectual disabilities.
  • An understanding of current policies and developments at national and sectoral level relating to social care within disability services.
  • The ability to follow individual support plans and work collaboratively to meet the ongoing needs of those supported.
  • Strong interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proficient IT skills, including Microsoft Word, Excel, SharePoint, OneDrive and Teams.
  • A full, clean driver's licence and access to your own vehicle are essential.
