Due to ongoing success and company expansion, my client are looking to add to their established Mechanical design team with the addition of a Mechanical Design Engineer.

 

We are looking for an ambitious Mechanical Design Engineer. If you're a driven & highly motivated person wishing to craft out a successful and rewarding future in what is a truly unique environment, this could be the role for you. You will be working on a variety of Projects, for an Automotive Manufacturer, the parts are then manufactured and supplied to all parts of the globe.

 

THE ROLE:

  • Working on design projects for customers, primarily designing a range of products which are supplied within the Automotive industry.
  • Accountable for all mechanical aspects of a project and provide technical guidance to customers.
  • Attend specification meetings with global customers.
  • Be aware of cost targets in design, purchasing, and assembly.
  • Carry out risk assessments.
  • Attend project meetings and update the Project Managers on engineering progress.


THE PERSON:

  • Experience using SolidWorks or similar.
  • Ability to design for manufacture and assembly.
  • The ability to read and produce 2D production drawings applying GD&T where necessary.
  • Problem solving and trouble shooting ability.
  • Ideally possess an Engineering Degree, Minimum HNC
  • Minimum 3 years experience in a Design Engineering role.
