A Great opportunity has just become available with a well established engineering company based in Poole, the company service a range of sectors and are now looking for an experienced Quality Inspector to join its high performing department!

The Role:

• Reporting to the Quality Manager.
• Ensuring that every part leaving the shop floor meets customer and regulatory requirements.
• Produce and verify First Article Inspection Reports (FAIR) to customer-specific standards.
• Competent use of CMM to inspect precision-machined parts.
• Carry out patrol inspection on the shop floor and perform final release inspection.
• Use a full range of traditional metrology equipment (verniers, micrometers, height gauges, shadow graphs, beam gauge, etc.).
• Accurately record inspection results and maintain quality data within the QMS/MRP system.
• Liaise with Production, Engineering and Management to resolve non-conformances and drive continuous improvement.

The Candidate:

• Previous experience as a Quality/Mechanical Inspector in a precision engineering environment.
• Sound knowledge of FAIR requirements and dimensional inspection techniques.
• Competence in CMM operation - Desirable.
• Strong attention to detail and the ability to read complex engineering drawings.
• Confident communicator.
