We are currently working on behalf of a not-for-profit organisation, who are recruiting for two Supported Housing Officers. The role will be working within their Unaccompanied Asylum Seeking Children's Service, working with young people living within dispersed accommodation across Manchester.

Responsibilities of the Supported Housing Officer includes:

  • Working across dispersed accommodation in Manchester supporting unaccompanied child asylum seekers
  • Providing resettlement and housing management support
  • Encouraging independent living
  • Promoting tenancy sustainment
  • Assisting clients to maximise their income
  • Completing the induction process with new clients
  • Assisting with the access to training, education and employment opportunities
  • Signposting clients to other services within the community
  • Completing housing benefit, council tax and universal credit claims
  • Conducting risk and needs assessments

Requirements of the Supported Housing Officer:

  • Enhanced DBS
  • Driver and access to a vehicle
  • NVQ Level 3 Health and Social Care
  • Previous experience working alongside young people
