We are currently working on behalf of a not-for-profit organisation, who is recruiting for a Housing Support Worker to provide outreach support to vulnerable people in their own homes across Salford. The role is offered on a permanent basis, with a shift pattern comprising of both early (8am – 4pm) and late shifts (12pm – 10pm). The role will also comprise of weekend working, 1 in every 5 weeks.
Responsibilities of the Housing Support Worker includes:
- Working in the community, providing housing related support to vulnerable clients including the elderly, those with substance misuse issues, ADHA and/or autism
- Promoting independent living
- Completing tailored support plans with individuals
- Assisting with budgeting
- Signposting clients to services within the community
- Managing referrals from outside agencies
- Completing risk assessments and health and safety checks
- Assisting with administration such as benefit applications
- Promoting engagement in activities, employment and education opportunities

Experience of the Housing Support Worker includes:
- Previous experience working within a similar supported housing setting
- Willingness to undergo an Enhanced DBS check
