Business Assurance Manager

We are currently working on behalf of a public sector client to recruit to a Business Assurance Manager on a permanent basis. The main areas of responsibility will cover compliance and assurance, governance and regulation, data protection, health and safety, business continuity and insurance

Responsibilities of the Business Assurance Manager:

• Leading on the management, delivery and performance of assurance, risk mitigation and management planning across the business, as well as corporate governance
• Ensuring the business has a strategic oversight of risks, controls and assurances
• Ensuring that systems are in place for the effective management and monitoring of Health & Safety, Data Protection (including GDPR) and Business Continuity
• Evaluating and reporting on compliance in these areas
• Leading the production of the corporate change plan
• Producing annual performance reports for management and board
• Ensuring the board is kept up to date of changes and developments in regulation

Requirements of the Business Assurance Manager:

• Experience of business assurance
• Working knowledge of risk management and compliance within a complex and regulated business
