The Best Connection are currently recruiting on behalf of an established manufacturing company based in the heart of Birmingham for a Quality Improvement Inspector / Technician to join their team on a permanent basis. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced quality professional looking to develop their career within a busy manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Take ownership of quality and process controls within the manufacturing environment.
• Manage supplier quality defect rejection reporting, non-conformances and data collection.
• Work with suppliers on the inspection and validation of parts.
• Identify and deliver quality improvement projects to improve operational performance.
• Collect and monitor quality data to support improvement activities and ensure compliance with the Quality Management System.
• Drive a structured QCD KPI programme.
• Carry out product audits and provide technical customer service support.
• Champion Lean Manufacturing and 5S throughout the business.

Requirements

• Previous experience in a quality, inspection, process engineering or manufacturing environment.
• Strong knowledge of quality control and manufacturing processes.
• Good understanding of continuous improvement and Lean Manufacturing principles.
• Experience with 5S, quality KPIs and process controls.
• The ability to work confidently in a hands-on, shop-floor manufacturing environment.

Salary

• £30,000 – £35,000 per annum
• Permanent position
