We are currently working with a well-established Further Education College in Crawley that is looking to appoint a dedicated and knowledgeable Computing Lecturer to join their team on a temporary basis.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced lecturer or an industry professional looking to move into teaching. You will be responsible for delivering engaging and high-quality lessons across a range of Computing qualifications, helping students develop the technical knowledge and practical skills needed for further study or employment within the IT sector.
The Role
- Deliver high-quality teaching across Computing programmes, including areas such as IT, Cyber Security, Networking, Programming, Software Development or Digital Technologies.
- Plan, prepare and deliver engaging lessons that meet the needs of a diverse range of learners.
- Assess student work, provide constructive feedback and monitor learner progress.
- Support students to achieve their academic and personal goals.
- Contribute to curriculum development and quality improvement initiatives.
- Maintain accurate records in line with college policies and awarding body requirements.
The Ideal Candidate
- A recognised qualification in Computing, Information Technology or a related subject.
- Teaching qualification (PGCE, Cert Ed or equivalent) is desirable, although support may be available for industry professionals looking to gain one.
- Experience teaching within Further Education is desirable.
- Strong industry knowledge in one or more Computing disciplines.
- Excellent communication and organisational skills.
- A passion for education and supporting learners to achieve their full potential.
