Maths Lecturer

Rate: £40 P/H

Contract: Temporary - Full Time

Start Date: August/September

We are currently working with a well-established Further Education College in Brighton that is looking to appoint a passionate and dedicated Maths Lecturer to join their team on a temporary basis.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced lecturer or a skilled education professional looking to inspire the next generation of learners. You will deliver engaging and inclusive maths lessons to students across a range of Further Education programmes, supporting them to develop the numerical, analytical and problem-solving skills they need to succeed in education, apprenticeships and employment.

The Role

As a Maths Lecturer, you will:

• Plan and deliver high-quality maths lessons to students aged 16+.
• Teach GCSE Maths and/or Functional Skills Maths.
• Create engaging learning experiences that motivate students of varying abilities.
• Assess student progress and provide constructive feedback to support achievement.
• Prepare learners for examinations and assessments.
• Contribute to curriculum development and departmental quality improvement.
• Maintain accurate student records and complete all required administrative tasks.
• Promote safeguarding, equality, diversity and inclusion at all times.

The Ideal Candidate

We are looking for someone who has:

• A recognised teaching qualification (PGCE, Cert Ed or equivalent), or a willingness to work towards one.
• A relevant Maths qualification at Level 5 or above.
• Experience teaching Maths within a Further Education or Secondary Education setting.
• Experience delivering GCSE Maths and/or Functional Skills Maths.
• Excellent classroom management and communication skills.
• A genuine passion for helping learners build confidence and achieve their full potential.
