Our client, a world-leading IT services contractor, is seeking an experienced Application Architect for a contract role with their esteemed financial services client in Swindon. As an Application Architect, you will lead the design and development of cutting-edge solutions using the latest technologies. Job Title: Application Architect
Day rate (inside IR35): Up to £660 per day (client has stated that this rate is non-negotiable)
Duration: 6 months initial contract with extensions likely
Location: Swindon, UK (On-site required 2-3 days per week)

Job Title: Application Architect (IBM) - Financial Services Client
Day Rate (inside IR35): Up to £670 per day
Duration: 6 months initial contract with extensions likely
Location: Swindon, UK (On-site required 2-3 days per week)
Client: Top UK financial services organisation

Key Responsibilities:
• Architecting and designing robust .NET Core applications and microservices.
• Developing WebApi solutions and ensuring seamless integration with existing systems.
• Implementing DevOps practices for continuous integration and deployment.
• Containerizing applications using Docker and managing orchestration with Kubernetes.
• Integrating API management solutions like Apigee for enhanced security and performance.
• Collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure project success.
• Leveraging tools such as Swagger, Jira, Confluence, PlantUML, and draw.io for effective project management and documentation.
Requirements:
• Proven experience as an Application Architect, preferably in the financial services sector.
• Proficiency in .NET Core, microservices architecture, and WebApi development.
• Strong experience with DevOps practices, including CI/CD pipelines.
• Familiarity with containerization technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes.
• Knowledge of API management platforms like Apigee.
• Excellent understanding of project management tools like Swagger, Jira, and Confluence.
• Outstanding communication and collaboration skills.
• Ability to commute to Swindon 2-3 days per week.

Preferred Skills:
Experience with PlantUML and draw.io for architectural design.

Note: Candidates must have recent financial services experience and reside within a commutable distance to Swindon.
