This is a Terraform DevOps Engineer position. The ideal candidate will have 10+ years’ experience in IT/DevOps environment with extensive hands on with Terraform and focused on provisioning IaaC on Azure. You must hold an ACTIVE SC clearance to be considered for the role
Day rate: £600-£650 per day inside
Location: Remote
Duration: 6 months initial contract with extensions likely
Roles And Responsibilities
• Design and implement automation scripts and processes for provisioning, configuration, and deployment of infrastructure and applications with Terraform.
• Extensive experience with deployments on MS Azure.
• Hands-on in CI/CD process using Azure Repo, Azure Devops (ADO), YAML Pipeline, GIT, GitHub, Bitbucket, Jenkins, Azure security products including Resource Groups, Azure Key Vaults and Network Security Groups.
• Expert in scripting with Python.
• Experienced in using Azure/Monitor log analytics, DynaTrace and DataDog.
• Experience with Ansible playbook and role creation.
• Develop and maintain Terraform modules and scripts to automate the deployment and configuration of infrastructure.
• Work with stakeholders and develop Terraform configurations to migrate workloads. Development and implementation of best practices for cloud infrastructure and security.
• Experience in developing and maintaining CI/CD pipelines for infrastructure
• Experience with container creation and modification to facilitate CI/CD supportability.
Required Mandatory Skills
• Expertise in Terraform: In-depth knowledge of Terraform syntax, workflow, state management, and module development.
• Cloud Platforms: Strong experience with Azure cloud service providers and their services.
• CI/CD Tools: Proficiency in continuous integration and continuous deployment tools (e.g., Azure DevOps, Ansible, GitLab CI, GitHub Actions/Workflows)
• Scripting and Automation: Experience with scripting languages (e.g., Bash, Python, PowerShell) for automation tasks.
• Terraform and Azure certification will be a plus.
• Experience with Atlassian Confluence, Jira for project definitions and documentation.
