Platform Test Engineer (Test Engineer) Swindon, England
Gibbs Hybrid requires an experienced Platform Test Engineer for a world leading IT services client for a financial services/banking account. Due to the nature of the role, the client has requested that we only submit CVs for candidates with a wealth of experience in financial services roles.
Hybrid (Swindon 1-2 days per week)
Rates: Awaiting client feedback/negotiable per day (Inside IR35)
6–12-month contract with extensions highly likely
As a Platform Test Engineer will join an existing infrastructure and platform team to support the testing of hardware configuration, application services, operating systems, Network and routing, middleware, database, systems management, and security software upgrades across a key UK account.
Required Technical and Professional Expertise
• Experience with infrastructure and/or platform testing (IAAS, PAAS)
• Experience working on Mobile and Web platforms performing headless testing
• Ability to perform in-depth analysis of tests results and work with Developers, Architects and Technical teams to analyse the issues (root cause analysis of non-functional issues).
• High-level programming language (Java, Python, Golang, etc)
• Experience in different testing approaches (Unit, Integration, Load/Performance, end-to-end)
• Experience testing AWS cloud platforms
• Experience creating and maintain automation frameworks
• Experience of configuration management and deployment tools such as GIT and Jenkins.
• Ability to establish close working relationships with stakeholders, developers, and multiple business users.
Preferred (nice to have) Technical and Professional Expertise
• Experience testing Azure cloud platforms
• Experience with Chaos testing
• Experience with Test Modelling tools/techniques like ARD (Agile Requirements Designer)
• Automation testing experience using any or all of the following:
• Gatling
• ChefInSpec
• Postman
• REST Assured
