Location: Cheshire - 2 days onsite per week (mandatory requirement – you must live within a commutable distance to be considered.
Rate: £750 per day Inside IR35
Duration: 12-month initial contract

We're supporting a major financial services organisation in the appointment of an experienced Cryptography Engineer to join their Cryptography Services team. To be considered, you must have recent experience working in a similar role within financial services.

This role is suited to individuals with strong hands-on experience across Key Management, Hardware Security Modules (HSMs) and Certificate Management, operating within large-scale enterprise environments.

Key Responsibilities
• Management of enterprise cryptographic services and controls
• Installation, configuration and support of Hardware Security Modules (HSMs)
• Administration of key management platforms and encryption services
• Certificate lifecycle management across business-critical environments
• Production and maintenance of operational and technical documentation
• Support of incident, problem and change management activities
• Collaboration with technical and business stakeholders across multiple teams
• Ensuring cryptographic services align with security, compliance and regulatory requirements

Essential Skills & Experience
• Strong commercial experience within Cryptography and Information Security
• Hands-on knowledge of Key Management principles and processes
• Experience configuring, supporting and troubleshooting HSM platforms
• Certificate Management / PKI experience
• Strong stakeholder management and communication skills
• Experience working within operational infrastructure environments
• Knowledge of incident, problem and change management processes
• Excellent documentation and process creation skills
• Ability to manage competing priorities and work effectively under pressure

Desirable Experience
• Security certifications such as CISSP, CISM or equivalent
• Unix/Linux and Windows operating system knowledge
• Experience within highly regulated environments
• Knowledge of privacy, compliance and data protection frameworks
