Admin Officer (Royal Courts of Justice - Criminal Division)

Our Client is hiring an Admin Officer to support court activity behind the scenes-preparing documents, supporting hearings, and helping ensure every process is handled professionally.
What you'll be doing:
• Prepare papers and files for court, tribunals, hearings and meetings
• Produce court/tribunal documents, with general photocopying and filing support
• Create and update records on an in-house computer system, ensuring accurate data input
• Manage post opening and dispatch, including booking and preparing meeting rooms
• Prepare meeting materials such as agendas, joining instructions and handouts
• Draft standard letters and correspondence, plus minutes, notes, reports and submissions
• Support clerking duties in civil and family courts and tribunals by keeping papers up to date and ready
• Assist court users, support listing/rota management, and check files
• Contact relevant parties, schedule and serve court documents, execute warrants, and collect fines/fees (including chip and pin)
• Handle face-to-face counter enquiries and respond to written and telephone enquiries
• Contribute to team work to keep meetings relevant, timely and productive
• Support problem-solving and small projects, including assessing the impact of new SOPs
• Take on ad hoc operational duties when required (including Jury Bailiff Officer, L+D Co-ordinator and H+S roles)
• Process casework documentation including court orders, claims, fines and fees and legal aid

Additional information:
• During hearings, you’ll perform clerking duties to help ensure materials are available and up to date
