Lift Supervisor with groundworks background – Portishead

MadiganGill are currently recruiting for an experienced Lift Supervisor with a background in Groundworks for a site in Portishead.

Location: Portishead
Start Date: ASAP

Pay Rate: £29.00 per hour

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate all lifting operations in accordance with the approved lift plan.
• Ensure all lifting activities are carried out safely and in line with current legislation and site procedures.
• Brief and coordinate with crane operators, slinger/signallers, and the site team before each lift.
• Carry out pre-lift checks and ensure lifting equipment is suitable, certified, and fit for purpose.
• Monitor lifting operations to ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
• Report any safety concerns, incidents, or equipment defects to site management.
• Maintain clear communication with all personnel involved in lifting activities.

Requirements

• Valid CPCS or NPORS (with CSCS hologram) Lift Supervisor qualification.
• Previous experience working as a Crane Lift Supervisor.
• Full PPE, including hi-vis clothing.
• Strong understanding of lifting operations, health and safety, and site procedures.
• Reliable, safety-conscious, and able to work effectively as part of a team.
