Position Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Data Analyst to support a high-performing legal team focused on Labor & Employment cases. This role is ideal for someone early in their career who is eager to grow, thrives in a fast-paced environment, and is passionate about data-driven problem-solving. The analyst will undergo extensive onboarding and training, with the opportunity to eventually work directly with attorneys and clients.
Key Responsibilities
- Analyze and prepare data to support legal cases, primarily in the Labor & Employment domain.
- Collaborate with the team to manage incoming data requests and deliver timely, accurate insights.
- Format and manipulate data using Excel, including advanced functions, macros, and VBA (if applicable).
- Write and optimize T-SQL queries to extract and analyze data from internal systems.
- Assist in automating reporting processes and improving data workflows.
- Communicate findings clearly and professionally via email and in meetings.
- Participate in client and attorney meetings after initial training period.
Skills Required
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (e.g., Data Science, Business, Computer Science).
- Proficiency in Excel, including formulas, pivot tables, and data formatting.
- Experience with T-SQL for querying and managing data.
- Strong communication skills and professional demeanor.
- Ability to work under pressure and manage last-minute requests with urgency and accuracy.
- Eagerness to learn, ask questions, and contribute to a collaborative team culture.
Preferred Skills
- Experience with Python for data analysis or automation.
- Familiarity with Power BI or other data visualization tools.
- Exposure to legal or law firm environments is a plus, but not required.
