QC Microbiologist Contractor

W2 Contract

Pay Rate: $50 - $54 per hour

Location: Salt Lake City, UT - Onsite Role

Job Summary:

Support GMP manufacturing site with a primary focus on bacterial endotoxin testing (USP <85>), including method suitability and routine testing using kinetic chromogenic methods. while also supporting bioburden testing (USP <61>) and environmental monitoring programs.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Perform bacterial endotoxin testing (USP <85>) using the kinetic chromogenic method
• Execute method suitability testing for endotoxin and routine sample testing
• Support USP <61>/<62> microbial testing as needed
• Conduct environmental monitoring (EM) for GMP manufacturing areas and utilities
• Assist with the implementation and qualification of microbiological methods
• Support investigations, including deviations, OOS, and CAPAs
• Analyze, trend, and document microbiological data per GMP requirements
• Provide onsite QC microbiology support Monday–Friday

Requirements and Qualifications:

• BS in Biology, Microbiology, or related field with 2–5 years of relevant experience
• Hands-on experience with USP <85> endotoxin testing (kinetic chromogenic preferred)
• Experience with method suitability testing required
• Familiarity with USP <61>/<62> is a plus
• Experience in a GMP-regulated pharmaceutical or biotech environment
• Strong documentation and data analysis skills
• Ability to work independently and in team settings
• Familiarity with LIMS (e.g., LabWare) and quality systems (e.g., MasterControl) is a plus.
