Stores Operative

Location: Loughborough, Leicestershire
Pay: £13.00 per hour
Hours: Monday – Thursday 07:00 – 16:00, Friday 07:00 – 13:00

Major Recruitment are looking for a Stores Operative to join our well-established engineering client in Loughborough. This is a fantastic opportunity to become part of a reputable business that values quality and teamwork.

What you’ll be doing:

• Managing inbound and outbound deliveries, ensuring accurate processing and documentation.
• Performing regular stock checks and keeping inventory records up to date.
• Handling administrative tasks, including raising purchase orders and generating reports.
• Preparing final dispatches – visual inspections, packing, and shipment of goods.
• Supporting the smooth running of the stores area and assisting wider operations.
• Liaising with packers and providing clear instructions to maintain workflow.

What we’re looking for:

• Strong computer skills and ability to work with systems 
• Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Positive, adaptable attitude with good communication skills.
• Previous experience in stores or stock control is desirable.

Additional Info:

• You’ll be involved in raising POs for two parts of the buisness 
• Ensuring paperwork stays with goods and matches system records.
• Working closely with two other packers and supporting dispatch operations.
