Laser Operator

Location: Leicester
Salary: £15-£18 per hour (negotiable based on experience)
Shift Options:

• Day Shift: Monday to Friday, 08:00 – 16:30

OR

• Night Shift: Monday to Thursday, 16:00 – 02:30

We are seeking a Laser Operative to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience with operating Bystronic laser cutting machinery, ideally within a manufacturing or metalworking environment. Experience with CNC laser cutting machines is highly desirable, but transferable skills are welcome. The successful candidate will be expected to work in a fast-paced environment, ensuring that high-quality products are produced efficiently

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate Bystronic CNC laser cutting machines to produce precise parts

• Load and unload materials for the laser machine, ensuring correct alignment and settings

• Interpret technical drawings and specifications to ensure the correct cutting parameters and materials are used

• Monitor the machine during operation to ensure cuts are accurate and free from defects

• Ensure the highest quality output by inspecting finished parts for accuracy and conformity to specifications

• Collaborate with the team to meet deadlines and production targets

Requirements

• Ability to read and understand technical drawings

• Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality parts

• Experience with machine setup, operation, and basic maintenance

• Familiarity with materials used in laser cutting

• Good communication skills and ability to work as part of a team and alone

• Maintain a clean and safe working environment at all times
