Purpose of the Job
As a Management Accountant, you will be a vital cog in the financial machinery of the business. You will be entrusted with the precise and punctual reporting of crucial financial data, aligning with corporate deadlines. Your insights will empower BU management to make informed strategic decisions, while also ensuring compliance with SOX regulations to maintain robust business controls.
Key Responsibilities
In this dynamic role, you will take charge of various financial functions, including but not limited to:
- Collaborating in the preparation of financial statements, encompassing P&L accounts, variance analysis, and balance sheet reconciliations.
- Analyzing financial information to drive business profitability and growth.
- Generating month-end journals to maintain accurate financial records.
- Providing valuable support during the budgeting and forecasting process.
- Facilitating the capital expenditure process.
- Upholding compliance with all financial regulations.
- Managing the annual and cyclical stock take process.
- Assisting with statutory audit requests.
- Conducting quarterly SOX testing.
- Compiling quarterly VAT returns.
- Offering coverage for Finance Assistant duties when required.
Qualifications and Skills
To thrive in this role, you should possess:
- A minimum of 3-5 years' experience in a Finance role, showcasing your financial acumen.
- A mandatory AAT qualification, while progress towards Chartered status is highly desirable.
- Strong team player with excellent interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills.
- The ability to excel under pressure, manage multiple tasks, and meet tight deadlines.
