Our client is a leading renewable energy specialist based in Liverpool, delivering innovative, low-carbon heating solutions across the Northwest. Due to continued growth and increased demand for energy-efficient systems, they are now expanding their team.

 

Role Overview:

We are seeking a Mechanical Supervisor to join the operations team in a pivotal, hands-on role. You’ll be responsible for overseeing the on-site delivery of mechanical installations on a range of renewable and low-carbon projects.

This role involves travel across project sites within the Northwest and occasionally beyond. All travel expenses are covered, and accommodation will be provided where overnight stays are required.

This is an ideal role for an experienced professional from a mechanical or gas engineering background who enjoys site supervision, technical problem-solving, and working in a fast-growing, mission-driven industry.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise mechanical teams on-site, ensuring quality delivery of renewable energy and heating system installations
  • Oversee day-to-day activities, ensuring projects are delivered on time and in compliance with industry standards
  • Conduct regular quality assurance checks and risk assessments
  • Act as the on-site technical lead, liaising with clients, subcontractors, and internal teams
  • Participate in installations and assist with diagnostics and troubleshooting as needed
  • Maintain accurate site records and reporting
  • Ensure all health & safety procedures are adhered to at all times

 

Requirements:

  • NVQ Level 3 in Mechanical Engineering (or equivalent)
  • Valid CSCS card
  • Proven experience in mechanical installation—renewables, pipework, or heating systems
  • Gas engineering or boiler installation experience is advantageous
  • Strong supervisory and leadership abilities
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills
  • Full UK driving licence (company van and fuel card provided)
  • Willingness to travel across sites (accommodation provided when working away)
